December 5th, 2015: Durham Farm Hub
Over 20 volunteers developed sore muscles and went home in sweaty clothes with an accomplished attitude! Our members deconstructed chicken coops and card-boarded flower beds! With our help there was space for the greenhouse the Durham Farm Hub plans to build and better secured plants, ready for the rain!

October 24th, 2015: DCLT-Making a Difference Day A total of 40 SOS members painted, power washed, landscaped, repaired and cleaned in hopes of making a difference in the community! |
October 18th, 2015: Bull City Race Fest
Dedicated members braved the cold and early morning to help marathon runners stay hydrated and motivated!

August 29th, 2015: Potato Drop
SOS members participated in bagging over 40,000 Ibs of potatoes that would be distributed to food relief agencies in the Triangle Area! We helped fight hunger one potato at a time!
Volunteer Events (2014-2015)
September 20, 2014: Durham Rescue Mission
20 members that attended helped out at the Durham Rescue Mission Thrift Store sorting out clothes and donations.
September 27, 2014: A Day Volunteering at CMA
Members helped CMA out by cleaning out the fridge, cleaning the
boards, removing the opaque trays, laminating paper,
and much more.
October 4, 2014: Color Run
Majority of the SOS members went to the Color Run at Research Triangle Park to throw colors, pass out refreshments,
and many more! We had a blast!
October 19,2014: Bull City Fest
SOS Members went to the Bull City Race Fest to cheer on the runners.
This is one of the most important races in Durham and the SOS members
were glad to be there supporting the runners.
